Norseman was a fledgling cocktail room on the verge of exploding into one of the most frequented spaces in NE Minneapolis when they approached me to paint the mural that graces their back wall.
Norseman is known for having very artistic and colorful menus but the team wanted something that would be permanent, iconic to their space and align with their branding.
The owner loved old script calligraphy in advertising, so this mural focused on beautiful typography with lots of embellishments to keep you mesmerized every time you see it. Its also the perfect backdrop for that fancy Norseman gin martini you’re about to post on instagram.

We were a new distillery in an up-and-coming market, in Minneapolis, MN. The competition was high; we knew we wanted to set ourselves apart from the others. Our space started as a dirty, old and bare warehouse space, and we wanted to create an atmosphere that was cozy, modern, inviting and reminiscent for our clientele. Jon created the most amazing mural for us! It fits our space perfectly; nestled in the cocktail room. We have had over 400 tagged social media posts, specifically showing his mural in just a year. Every day someone new takes a photo of it. And we get compliments on it all the time. Jon was speedy, precise and so friendly throughout the whole process. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing piece of art to add to their space.
