“One Discovery Square, the new home for the future of biometric research and technology innovation.”
While that description may seem a little academic the space was designed to inspire, innovate, and cultivate a friendly ecosystem that supports Rochesters Destination Medical Center, and the UofM campus. It is the known as the gateway to Mayo Clinic, one of the worlds leading medical clinics.
The canvas I was given is the underside of the grand staircase on the second floor rotunda. It may be one of the most spectacular walls Ive ever painted.
The design pulled inspiration from micro biology and abstract shapes to create a kaleidoscope of textures and colors that bring life to the rotunda.
